Deadline: MARCH 14, 2016

Journalists based in the United States can apply for this fellowship.

The International Center for Journalists (ICFJ) and Malaria No More have launched “Covering Malaria Elimination in Africa: A Fellowship for U.S. Journalists."

The program will allow seven U.S. journalists to travel to Tanzania for a five-day study tour focusing on strategies that have led to the progress on malaria and what it will take to end the disease for good. The trip will take place May 8 to 13.

Fellows will conduct site visits to clinics and treatment centers, attend briefings with health officials and disease experts, hear from organizations working to eliminate the disease and meet with local journalists covering the issue.

Journalists will be expected to produce stories based on the information gathered and contacts made during the tour. English fluency is required.

The deadline is March 14.
